Sweetwater launched!
Over the last couple months, the staff at Cafe Campesino has been busy preparing for the official launching of their "sister" roastery located in Gainesville, FL -- about 3 hours southwest of Americus, GA. Cooperative Coffees is happy to welcome Sweetwater into the family!
A word from the folks at Café Campesino:
"At about this time last year, we were approached by our friends at Sweetwater Organic Coffee Roasters in Gainesville, Fla., about the possibility of Café Campesino taking over their operation, as they were yearning to return to what we in the south call “The Great White North”. Well, after many trips to Gainesville and deep, deep introspection, we decided to do it and on December 20th, became the proud owners of Gainesville’s premiere sustainable coffee roaster… Sweetwater Organic Coffee!
The reason we’ve taken so long to break the news is that we have been hard at work learning how to run our new wholesale 
roastery and have needed every bit of these past few months to get into a groove and to a point that we felt it was “announce-able.” We’ve reached that point, thanks in large part to the hard work of our great crew at Sweetwater (most of whom have been with the company since its launch in 2004) – so, to Jim, Isha, Dylan, Amber & Mr. George – thank you for all your hard work over the past three months! We’ll keep you posted about Sweetwater’s evolution (at present, Sweetwater only sells to other businesses, though we doubt that’ll last for long).
