Cooperative Coffees' staff is shared between our two offices, our main office in Americus, and Coop Sol office in Montreal. These are the folks that make the day to day operations of this organization possible. Below are our staff at the CoopCoffees office in Americus, Georgia.


Jonathan Rosenthal, Executive Director of Coop Coffees. Jonathan joined Coop Coffees in March 2013 after 7 months as Interim Executive Director. He has spent over 30 years working to convert the destructive aspects of business into a positive force for people and the environment. He co-founded Equal Exchange and Oké USA and has consulted with organizations all across the fair trade movement. He is the author of numerous articles and a book contributor, a frequent speaker at colleges and fair trade events, and is an emeritus board member of Root Capital. 
Jonathan is an informal advisor to many fair trade networks, organizations and companies and is a founding member of Watertown Local First. Jonathan is married to Ora Grodsky. They live in the Boston area of the USA and have two daughters.


Bill Harris, Founder of Coop Coffees as well as Café Campesino, a Fair Trade roaster based in Americus, Georgia. Both businesses share the mission of helping disadvantaged farmers receive a fair price for their product through mutually beneficial, long-term trade partnerships.  Before “fair-trade enlightenment,” Bill was the president of a food distribution company, a trust portfolio manager, and a business consultant.


Abby Trantham, Office Manager - Americus, GA, has been part of the team since 2004. She is an honor graduate from Georgia Southwestern State University where she acquired her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2006. Abby is responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from handling outbound green coffee orders to oversight of daily operations within the Americus office.


Chelsea Carter joined the Cooperative Coffees Americus team part-time in the spring of 2007. By 2008, she knew she was here to stay and turned her part-time hours into full-time hours. She handles all inbound green coffee processing and organic certification as well as the ever-changing landscape of fair trade certification.

Florent Gout grew up In Sete, France. While pursuing his undergraduate studies abroad, in international trade, he was introduced to the Fair Trade principles. After graduation he became responsible for import operations for OXFAM Fair Trade in Montreal. This experience gave him a strong background in the management of import operations, forecasting, and inventory. He did not hesitate to apply when he saw the Job offer posted by Coop Coffees. Florent is Manager of Cooperative Coffees Pre-Financing Fund. He is also in charge of contracting coffee with our Sumatran producer partners, monthly pricing and  back up to the Green Desk on  purchasing issues.
